Music for robots

Hello, my name is Alexander and I make electronic music. You can download all of it for free. All I ask in return is that you share it with all your friends!

Tell me more.

What kind of music is this? I've received a lot of great suggestions on what genre this is. Personally, I'm a fan of electro chiptune. Even though very few tracks of mine can truly be considered electro. Techno is good as well, or even IDM. Bottom line it doesn't matter, call it whatever you like. Just not trance. The only thing that's definite is that this is Norwegian electronic music.

"I like it best when the beats are naked." — Cylob

There is a lot of emphasis on rhythm and transitions, so much so that my brother likes to refer to my work as tivoli musikk. The chiptune influences are also very prominent, I rely on simple waveforms for most my instruments. There is something so naive and raw about them that I simply cannot let go. I'm trying to tell stories, so I find a lot of my ideas originate from progressive genres. ("Close to the Edge" is one of my all-time favorite albums.) I also like obfuscating vocals to the point where the lyrics are indiscernible, so there is a lot of heavy vocoding.

I draw a lot of inspiration from artists like Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, Kraftwerk, The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Beastie Boys, Console, Zombie Nation, Mindless Self Indulgence, Cylob, DMX Krew, Ural 13 Diktators, and this list will never end so stopping.

Shout outs to elektronaut, Microhertz, 8bitpeoples, Bit Shifter, Paza, Bacalao, Ponas, Liquid Stranger, Draug, Dave NICE, Buddy Pitch, Goto80, nullsleep, Sabrepulse, Saskrotch, Henry Homesweet, gwem, trash80, impakt, Meneo, C-Men, Covox, Buskerdroid, Steve, and everyone in the scene.
